PB Chocolate Chip Bites

As my blog post about post-workout snacks discusses, these can be very influential in helping you reach strength goals! For me, they're also a fun way to push yourself during your workout - I like to think in terms of "earning" your post-workout snack. Whatever works for ya, right?

Now that we know the optimal carb:protein ratio, I've experimented with creating energy bites that meet those requirements! This is my first attempt and man, they're delicious! There are 22 grams of carbs and 9 grams of protein per TWO bites. So yes, consume TWO of them post-workout for optimal benefits.

1/4 cup Old Fashioned Oats

6 Tbsp Hemp seeds, raw and shelled

5 Tbsp flax seed

1/3 cup unsalted peanut butter

32 dark chocolate chips

4 pitted Medjool dates

6 Tbsp water



1. Using a food processor, blend all ingredients except the water.

2. Stir once mostly mixed and add water

3. Blend further until smooth

4. Divide into 12 bites - consume 2 post-workout for benefits
