Homemade Baked French Fries

Servings: 4 servings


  • 3 Medium Sized Russet Potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Wash all potatoes and cut off the ends of the potatoes
  3. Cut the potatoes lengthwise and lay flat side down to the cutting board
  4. Cut thin lengthwise fry shapes from each half potato
  5. Place all fries on a baking sheet
  6. Add olive oil and toss well on the baking sheet
  7. Sprinkle with salt and garlic powder as desired - I generously sprinkle salt and lightly with garlic powder to taste
  8. Bake at 400 degrees to 30 minutes, remove from oven and toss fries. Return to oven and cook for 10 more minutes
  9. After the additional 10 minutes is over, turn the oven to broil and bake for additional 3-5 minutes or until the fries begin to crisp - watch closely during this time so they do not burn
  10. Remove from oven, serve, and enjoy!
