Turmeric Oats

I created this recipe on a whim because I was in a rush and didn't have time to go to the grocery store one night. Yep, this was dinner! This recipe is warm and cozy and packed with anti-inflammatory power. Turmeric is a super spice shown to decrease inflammation when at least 1 gram per day is taken consistently. I seriously throw it in almost every recipe, including these oats. Nothing completely revolutionary here, just a girl who loves turmeric.

 

Ingredients:

1/4 cup steel cut oats

2 cups water

1 tbsp turmeric powder

Strawberries or berries to top

 

Instructions:

1. Prepare steel cut oats per package, adding turmeric to boiling water to be absorbed by oats

2. Top with berries when finished
