Spirulina = algae (mine is a powder from Whole Foods) that gives a ton of nutrients (think vitamins and minerals) and some additional protein!
Woah I used protein powder? Isn't that just for super athletes? Nope. Most people trying to eat healthy are not getting enough protein in their diets and should be supplementing here and there as necessary, especially if they're trying to have a smoothie as a meal. - 2 tsp spirulina
- 1 scoop Orgain Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup coconut milk, or milk of choice
